WOW! I could not have been prouder of the Boy Scouts of Troop 1932 than
tonight. You guys really deserve thanks for the outstanding support you gave to
the Wounded Warriors of our Nation this evening. Your service to the VETS was
truly appreciated anwas witnessed in the standing ovation they gave you!! We
were there to honor and help them and here they were honoring you all...You were
hard working, helpful, courteous, respectful, and in general just model young
citizens and truly exemplified the scout law and scout oath. Conducting the
Color Guard, serving water, cleaning up, bringing desserts, helping with
breaking down tables & chairs - in so many ways you were the "go to guys!". I
can't tell you how many Veterans and Knights of Columbus came up to me to thank
you for your efforts and example. Great job one and all!!!

Thanks to Asst. Scoutmaster Jim Hubbard for arranging an educational and exciting trip to North Carolina where 13 of our scouts earned their aviation merit badge. The boys were able to board a Coastgaurd C-130 and take a look at several other aircraft used by our Coastguard. An evening camping out under the stars was spent in a gymnasium as a result of tornado warnings. Fortunately, the storms passed and the boys were able to practice setting up the tents in the dark before getting a good nights sleep. Earning the aviation merit badge wouldn't have been complete without a visit to Kitty Hawk where that first flight actually took place! Great job everyone!

Troop 1932 is headed for Brady Saunders this year for summer camp. Every effort is being made to secure spots for the week of June 25th through July 2nd. (The goal is to get to camp before the REALLY hot weather kicks in.) Please check out the summer camp website for Brady Saunders. Make sure you get your medical forms turned in ASAP. The cost for a week of adventure and fun will be approximately $250 per scout. Mark you calendars and start thinking about what merit badges you want to work on!

Congratulations to the four scouts in troop 1932 who earned their Ad Alteri Deli Award. Msgr. McCarren presented them with the award before mass on Sunday. You can see a picture in the photo gallery! The troop meeting Monday night went well. There are many boys who are very close to obtaining their 2nd class rank. Plans are in the work to ensure they complete the remaining requirements very soon! The next Court of Honor will be Monday, the 29th. Remember to wear your Class A uniform. Two scouts will receive rank advancements and many merit badges will be awarded! Congratulations to everyone

For any boys who signed up for MBU this weekend (11/20), it has been postponed to December 4th. If you can't make the 4th please check with other boys in the troop who may be interested in taking your son's slot. The MBU was completely full so no new registrations will be accepted.

Sounds like the boys and leaders had a great weekend shooting and camping. No meeting tonight. Remember, Merit Badge University is this weekend so start working on any requirements you might have for the badges you will be earning!

Hi Everyone! Please feel free to "blog" about any positive things you see going on in the troop as well as areas in which we might improve. I'm sure the committee members will be reviewing the site on a regular basis for new ideas!
