It sure doesn't feel like Spring! The troop participated in the 2013 Lumberjack camp last weekend and learned the true meaning of "be prepared." Rain and cool temperatures left a lasting impression on those who forgot to bring extra socks and rain gear! Overall the troop worked well as a team and had a chance to practice some important outdoor skills! Our troop is also showing it's age as there are a few boys rapidly approaching the rank of Eagle. The troop helped Brad Mahaffey complete his eagle project in February and will be helping Sean Hubbard complete his project the weekend of April 13th. There are several other scouts who have attained the rank of life and are getting close to attaining all the eagle requirements. It's hard to believe that just a few years ago there were five very young scouts making up the troop. We now have a great group of older scouts who can take over some of the leadership positions in the troop. It's wonderful to see these young men helping the younger scouts with the skills and advancement requirements of scouting!
